Jay is from Nepal and was born in a hindu family. At the age of 17, he came to know the Lord and while doing his business studies in college, he gave up business studies for Bible College and was lead by the passion to study the Word of God. He completed his bachelor’s of theology in 2009 and worked as a mission assistance in a local church which gave him opportunity to visit churches in remote areas of Nepal and teach the Word to the local leaders. After working for 3 years in the mission field, he felt the call to get involved in teaching and training church leaders to teach the Word accurately and passionately. He then joined M.Div program which was focused on teaching and training leaders in South Asia. When Calvary Chapel Bible College Nepal started in 2014, he joined with staff faculty and has been teaching and training leaders from different parts of Nepal. He also joined the leadership team of Calvary Chapel Kathmandu when it started in 2014 and has been serving in the church with his wife, Sangeeta. They were recently blessed with a beautiful son, Yohann. His heart is to reach pastors and leaders from every corners of Nepal and help them to be able to teach the Bible verse by verse in truth and spirit.
